I was crushed when Beachwood Sparks went on what I still try and convince myself is just a temporary hiatus. I only had the chance to see Beachwood Sparks once - I was at that Cafe Du Nord show in San Francisco that's in the media section here - but I've been a fan since the debut cast its spell on me. Brent was at the merch stand that night in San Francisco, and he was about the nicest guy you could ever hope to meet. </p> <p>I love it all, but I think <em>Make the Cowboy Robots Cry</em> has some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard. </p> <p>The All Night Radio album <em>is</em> pretty amazing, but my favorite post-BS work to date is <em>Tree Colored See</em>. I caught BS in Boston several years ago and have been a silent but devoted fan ever since. I cried when they broke up. Ok, I didn't cry but I did close my eyes and shake my head in disapproval. I must say, I think All Night Radio is the best of them all, it's a crime against humanity that they only put out one album. </p>
