ive just recently bought a vinyl copy of OWWT on rough trade and it seems to have a completely different running order than the cd which ive always owned. is this the same with the american sub pop release as both formats were purchased in the UK? can anyone shed some light on this

Yep, it's the same with both vinyl releases. And the same goes for Bomp!'s vinyl release of the first album. I guess they wanted to make do something extra with the vinyls and perhaps also make all sides start and end more naturally (since it's a double lp).
