I love this site and I'm thankful to those who have taken the time to keep track of the infinite Beachwood Sparks fragments. I caught BS in Boston several years ago and have been a silent but devoted fan ever since. I cried when they broke up. Ok, I didn't cry but I did close my eyes and shake my head in disapproval. I must say, I think All Night Radio is the best of them all, it's a crime against humanity that they only put out one album.

I would also like to thank everyone here who's helped keep the flame burning. I was crushed when Beachwood Sparks went on what I still try and convince myself is just a temporary hiatus. I only had the chance to see Beachwood Sparks once - I was at that Cafe Du Nord show in San Francisco that's in the media section here - but I've been a fan since the debut cast its spell on me. Brent was at the merch stand that night in San Francisco, and he was about the nicest guy you could ever hope to meet.

I love it all, but I think Make the Cowboy Robots Cry has some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard.

The All Night Radio album is pretty amazing, but my favorite post-BS work to date is Tree Colored See. I dig most everything the guys in the band have worked on, though.

    Still, I'm holding out hope...

this is not 100% and i don't want to start any online 'rumors' as they are generally misconstrued and almost always lame-but a few months ago Brent mentioned something to me about working on new BWS matereal w/ Chris Gunst-but i assume they've both been pretty busy now that they're married men and living on opposite corners of the country.

i'm stoked to hear anything new they might put out and am still hopeful for a proper release of the 'Pre-Flight' and 'Space Shed' recordings from the classic lineup.

    bee good folks.

Just to further stoke speculation (something I'm wary of, lest I be let down), Sub Pop has Beachwood Sparks listed on their active roster (not everywhere, but when you click 'Artists' on the main page it does - Conversely, they show up as inactive on the 'Media Kits' list). It's almost certainly just an oversight, but seeing it like that got my pulse going just a bit faster.
