Been listening to SSF on headphones in a darkened room (as all good albums should be enjoyed). I've come to the conclusion that it's the best LP I've ever heard. It's a shame they never made it to England to play a few dates. They would have gone down a storm here.

I understand they fell out and don't speak any more which is a massive shame. Is there any chance of a reunion and a second LP? Has anyone approached them about it? Do Jimi & Dave realise they've produced a record that will become known, in years to come, as a classic?

You're right -- that's a classic! Although I would kill for a second LP, I find it hard to believe that it would be possible for them to come up with something as good as SSF! Well, that's just my two cents anyway...

i also agree, but i think those two dudes are not likely to even be in the same room together, let alone make a follow up album-it'll be interesting to see what the future holds-it's still one of my favorite post-bws albums ever, and could easily become a cult classic in the next 40 years.

Crikey. I heard there was just a minor disagreement over a lady. A mate run off with my ex a few years ago, but I'd never lose a friend over a woman. I did get an email from Jimi Hey in response to my request for them to play in the UK. He suggested that the label didn't know how to promote them and made it sound like they'd been dropped. At the time (must have been a few weeks after their last appearance) he sounded really sad that they'd split.

So sad, it seems a terrible waste of talent to me.

yes, it really is one of the best albums i've ever heard, and since i discovered it about 6 months ago i have been pushing it on everyone. i'm certain that 10-15 years down the road it will be recognized as as classic that got overlooked. its a shame i'll never get to see them, but its not the first and it won't be the last!
