A New Personality
Biography:

Before the mainstream efforts with Shadowland and indie sounds of Further, there was A New Personality. Led by brothers Darren and Brent Rademaker, A New Personality was one of the most important alternative bands in the Tampa area in the early 80’s.

The band mixed the psychedelic gloominess of Echo & the Bunnymen with their own talent for melodic songwriting and came up with a very distinctive New Wave sound characterized by strong melodies and a polished production.

Fans of the Rademakers can easily spot elements of A New Personality’s music on such records as Furthers’ Next Time West Coast and Frausdots’ Couture Couture Couture.
